About Us
In 1947 after Parke returned home from serving in WWII, he and new wife Emily bought an army surplus truck. They drove their Studebaker 2,000 miles to Warren, Ohio where, to their great surprise, they found the truck in 7 crates! Undaunted, they got the truck put together and with the Studabaker in the back, drove 35 mph during daylight only (it had blackout lights) back to St. George, Utah! Thus launching the Parke Cox Trucking legacy! In the 80’s Parke sold the business to sons Dave and Don Cox who have grown the company to where it is today. We are big enough to attract large customers, but small enough to remember our roots and what keeps the business running – our drivers and support staff!
